Sungho Bea, PharmD, PhD, is an Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School and a pharmacoepidemiologist in the Division of Pharmacoepidemiology and Pharmacoeconomics at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
Dr. Bea earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Yeungnam University in South Korea and a PhD in Pharmacoepidemiology, with a focus on cardiometabolic diseases, from Sungkyunkwan University. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship in drug–drug interaction pharmacoepidemiology in the Division and is a recipient of the American Diabetes Association Fellowship Award.
His current research focuses on combination therapy and drug–drug interactions. He leverages innovative methodologies and advanced data-screening approaches to identify and evaluate clinically important interactions in real-world healthcare data. He is also broadening his portfolio to investigate combination therapy in patients with implantable medical devices.
