Kelly E. Anderson

Kelly E. Anderson, PhD, MPP is an Assistant Professor and Investigator in the Program on Regulation, Therapeutics, and Law (PORTAL) in the Division of Pharmacoepidemiology and Pharmacoeconomics. She is a health policy researcher who predominately focuses on the relationship between insurance design and health care utilization and spending. Under this umbrella, she has three active lines of research focused on: 1) improving payment for high-cost prescription drugs, 2) evaluating Medicare insurance design, and 3) addressing challenges in medication access associated with pharmacy closures. Dr. Anderson primarily applies quasi-experimental and descriptive methods and analyzes large administrative data.

Prior to joining PORTAL, Dr. Anderson served as an Assistant Professor and PhD program director at the University of Colorado Center for Pharmaceutical Outcomes Research. She completed her PhD in Health Policy and Management at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
