Jennifer Polinski, ScD, MPH, MS recently spoke with Reuters Health in regards to her new research, appearing the Journal of the American Geriatrics Society, which examined the connection between time spent in Medicare Part D’s “donut hole” coverage gap and adverse health outcomes.  The team found the rates of hospitalization and death to be equal between those seniors who were exposed to the coverage gap and those who were not.
